How we got our name

It was early January 2017. The evening was a cold and dark one, as they normally are in that post-Christmas depression. As Stacey and Ru sat in Ru’s house, dim lights making it feel cosy, cups of tea dotted about, Stacey stopped to stroke Duke the border terrier who was making himself comfortable on the floor.

They had spent the last few hours coming up with possible names for what was going to be a fantastic copywriting collective. As Stacey got up to leave to go home to her own dog, Ruby, she stopped.

“What about RubyDuke?”

And that is how the most beloved spaniel and the most treasured border terrier came to be the inspiration for RubyDuke Communications.
